When it comes to kindness and charity, you don’t really need a reason, but ‘tis the season” nonetheless…
We all know that not everyone has the chance to “see the flowing bowl before” them. In fact, there were up to 60,252 homeless people, including 19,310 children, sleeping in New York City's main municipal shelter system each night in the fall of 2022.
Fortunately, art can help.
The Untitled Space, a contemporary gallery situated in New York City and operated by artist and gallerist Indira Cesarine, is pleased to present its benefit holiday auction fittingly titled “RAPTURE,” in collaboration with Art4Equality, a non-profit initiative supporting equality-themed art exhibitions and special projects.
A portion of proceeds raised from the benefit will be donated to the Coalition for the Homeless, one of the country’s oldest advocacy and service organizations, which is dedicated to helping homeless individuals and families all year round. The Coalition’s life-saving programs provide food, crisis services, housing and more, to over 3,500 people each day.
The benefit auction initiative is founded on shared values. All of the organizations involved share a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in every aspect, from internal operations to external projects and activities. This is one one of them, and you are more than welcome to get involved by giving the gift of art.
