Robert Eberle is a fifteen-year-old singer-songwriter, who uses music to express his thoughts, ideas, and stories based on his personal experiences as well as those of the people around him. Often, this means Eberle has to find ways of channelling a lot of complicated input into productive and positive output. The drive to create something positive using his talents and creativity has led to a fairly respectable music catalogue that features some rather impressive collaborations.
We interviewed the emerging artist about his interests, inspirations, and latest single “Enough” to get a better sense of his influences, ambitions, and life in general.
When and how did you get interested in music?
When I was younger, my grandparents bought me my first acoustic guitar and, ever since then, I've been playing music!
Who are your top three influences and why?
My top three influences are Ruel, Finneas, and Billie Eilish. They really helped me through a lot and formed how I want my music to sound.
What qualities or skills do you admire in your favorite musicians?
I admire that my influences really care about their fans. They also really inspire people.
On your most recent release "Enough," you collaborated with Don Da Menace and Versa the Band, can you talk about how the collaboration worked and walk us through the creative process?
For “Enough,” the creative process took some time. It started with me singing the song and posting it on TikTok. Then, I brought it to Ethan (Versa the Band) and Don (Don Da Menace), and they loved it. We finished writing it, and then we all laid down our own vocals and guitars! After we recorded just a really stripped down version of the track, we sent it over to Colton Lava — a music producer and engineer — who really made the track what it is today!
How do you choose who to collaborate and work with?
I really like to collaborate with people who believe in the track, and also people who have the same sound as my songs.
What do you like to do when you're not making music?
I like to write, hang out with friends, and occasionally play video games!
As a fifteen-year-old musician, where do you hope to be in ten years?
I hope to be touring the world and giving back to as many people as I can!
